Position

Between the machine builder and the AI lab.

Traditional integrators are strong in steel and controls but treat AI as a bolt-on. AI companies build capable models and hand them to someone else to install. Neither arrangement survives contact with a production line.

Resonae Labs exists in the space between: engineers who can size a bearing, write a safety circuit and train a vision-language-action policy — and who understand that all three have to hold at 3 a.m. on a Sunday shift.

Founded in 2019 in Bengaluru, we now deliver systems across automotive, semiconductor, medical device, aerospace, logistics and process manufacturing.

Simulate before you commit

No concept leaves our floor without a reach study, a collision check and a cycle-time model. Optimism is not a design method.

Instrument everything

Every system ships data-ready — OPC UA tags, structured events, and a historian path. You cannot improve what you never measured.

Design for the maintenance engineer

Access, spares commonality, diagnostic clarity and recovery procedures are design inputs, not afterthoughts.

One team, one drawing set

Mechanical, electrical, software and AI engineers review together. Interface errors are found in the room, not on site.

Publish what we learn

Our engineers write up methods, failure modes and benchmarks. Shared knowledge compounds faster than protected knowledge.

A system is not delivered when it moves. It is delivered when it holds rate, quality and uptime under real production conditions.

About our engagement model

Is Resonae Labs a machine builder or a software company?

Both, deliberately. Roughly half our engineering hours go into mechanical and electrical design of physical equipment, and half into software — controls, vision, simulation and AI. The commercial model is a single engineering contract rather than separate hardware and software agreements.

What size of project do you take on?

From a single retrofit station to a complete line. The practical lower bound is a project with enough engineering content to justify a formal design review; below that, a local integrator is usually the better economic choice and we will say so.

Do you work as a subcontractor to other integrators?

Yes. We are frequently engaged by machine builders and larger integrators for the vision, simulation or AI scope of a project they are otherwise delivering themselves.

How do you handle intellectual property?

Client-specific designs, process knowledge and data belong to the client. Our reusable frameworks and libraries remain ours and are licensed for use in the delivered system. This is set out explicitly before kickoff.
